What holds you back?
August 13, 2016
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
When you learn to accept yourself and those around you exactly the way you are, your experience of life will begin to change.
When you accept what is, you allow everything to be, including yourself. And when you allow everything to be, the feeling of pushing subsides and the pressure reduces in your life.
We live in a world of competition, comparison and pressure. This is unhealthy and unnatural. After all, we are all different to one another, so there really is nothing to compare.
When you compare yourself to others, you begin to judge them and yourself. This leads to a critical mindset which damages your psyche, your self-esteem and your confidence.
Criticism erodes all that you are. It damages your sense of self and makes you feel small.
Society feeds on this and encourages it. Marketing and advertising campaigns prey on people’s low self-esteem by selling items and products to “make you feel better”; “make you look better”
Huge organisations and magazines spend millions to seduce you into believing that without their product, you are in some way a lesser person, or left out in the cold, or not one of the crowd…
It’s a never ending vicious circle.
And the fact is that there will always be someone taller than you, prettier than you, smarter than you, faster than you, funnier than you…
But who cares?
The amazing thing is that you are totally unique. There is no one like you. You are a complete one off. So why would you want to compare yourself to someone else?
By understanding who you are, discovering why you are here and uncovering what is incredible about you, you can stand fully in your power.
Bask in the knowledge that you are fabulous.
You are amazing and that you are different to everyone else and that is what is so special about you.
Once you hone in on your strengths, your talents and apply them, you start to see what you can offer to the world.
When you have a real sense of purpose, your confidence automatically grows. And this time, it will come from within rather than without.
In other words, when you get clear on your purpose, the reason you are here, your inner resolve and inner confidence will increase.
So, get to know yourself, enjoy time alone, get clear about your strengths and shine in the world like the bright and incredibly powerful star that you are.
Stay Blessed my friend.
